Dylan A. Bomgardner is an accomplished entertainment industry professional whose career spans nearly every facet of live production, from theatre and corporate events to large-scale rock and roll tours. With a unique blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and logistical precision, Dylan has built a reputation for delivering impactful designs and productions that merge artistry with efficiency.

Holding an MFA in Theatrical Lighting Design and Technology from Virginia Tech, Dylan combines advanced academic training with extensive real-world experience. In addition to his design work, he is an experienced Production Manager and Project Manager, overseeing complex productions from concept through execution for clients across theatre, live music, architectural installations, and branded events.

Currently serving as the Commissioner of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Lighting Design & Technology Commission, Dylan is deeply committed to advancing the field and fostering the next generation of industry professionals. His passion for mentorship and education has shaped his career, inspiring countless students and emerging designers through workshops, lectures, and hands-on training opportunities.

Dylan’s professional journey includes significant roles in theatrical design, architectural lighting, concert touring, and corporate brand experiences. He has collaborated with leading manufacturers, designers, and production teams across the globe, working with clients ranging from international brands to Broadway productions and major stadium tours.
